Date: 2-8 september 2017
Location: Bodorgkisfalud – Tokaj region, Hungary
We will organize our TYPOJAM international creative camp for the third time, at Bodrogkisfalud, in the Tokaj region. We work together in several fields of design (letters, graphics, illustrations). As in previous years, we work with printers (RISO, Letterpress). With the intention of experimenting, we are creating a printed interactive brochure and an interactive exhibition wall (Bare Conductive) to show how people in the wine region maintain and build their heritage and how they live their daily lives. This year, reviving the traditions of the first camp, sound designers and programmers join us who connect electronic content with traditional printing tools.
John Maeda – Simplicity: The Art of Complexity, 2006
SIMPLICITY is a complex topic that has no single, simple answer. We live in an increasingly complex technological world where nothing works like it is supposed to, and at the end of the day makes all of us hunger for simplicity to some degree. Yet ironically when given the choice of more or less, we are programmed at the genetic level to want more. “Would you like the big cookie or the smaller cookie?” or “Would you like the computer with ten processors or just one?” The choice is simple really, or is it?

If you would like to join us as a visual or audio designer, maybe as a programmer, please send me your portfolio. If your work matches our ideas, we are happy to see you in the creative camp!
